Craft Gin Club's November 2025 Rum of the Month: Downpour Hebridean Spiced Rum
This month, members have unboxed a first-ever rum from North Uist Distillery - the brilliant team behind the iconic Downpour range. We first partnered with this fantastic distillery to bring members Downpour Coast & Croft Gin back in 2022 - an immediate hit for its bold botanical blend and bright turquoise bottle.
Now, North Uist Distillery is embarking into a new spirits category with its brand-new expression - Downpour Hebridean Spiced Rum. This sumptuous spirit continues to reflect the distillery's passion for bold botanicals that capture the essence of the Hebrides.
Downpour Hebridean Spiced Rum is strikingly robust, lifted by bright citrus and deepened with layers of aromatic wild thyme, pink pepper and dulce. Complex spice builds with allspice, cinnamon and coriander, delivering a long, confident finish that's both fiery and herbaceous.
We’ve loved working with North Uist Distillery again on the launch of its new rum. This distillery and its standout spirits encapsulates everything that's special about the Outer Hebrides - its wild natural beauty, innovative food and drinks scene and authentic, tight knit community.

November 2025 Perfect Serve
Ingredients
- 50ml Downpour Hebridean Spiced Rum
- 200ml Double Dutch Ginger Ale
- Dried strawberry, to garnish
Method
Fill a glass with ice and add your rum and mixer. Add the garnish, stir gently to infuse and serve.

Craft Gin Club's Pineapple & Black Pepper Old Fashioned
Ingredients
- 50ml Downpour Hebridean Spiced Rum
- 25ml Pineapple & Black Pepper Old Fashioned Syrup
- 2 dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters
- Pineapple leaf and maraschino cherry, to garnish
Method
Add all the ingredients apart from the garnish to a mixing glass. Stir with ice and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish and serve.
